Storyline
The framing story is set in the 21st century and features the protagonist of the series Desmond Miles, who with the help of a machine called Animus, relieves his ancestors’ memories to stall the apocalypse of 2012.
It follows two characters who stories intersect: Haytham Kenway and Connor.
Kenway is a British Templar who try to build a presence during the French and Indian wars for his Order.
And Connor, becomes an assassin to protect his people’s land and get revenge for his mother’s death. He also argues that Templars attempt to influence The American revolution for their own good.
Connor is in the middle of the American revolutionary war.
But he is not fighting in the war he has his own battle to fight which intersects with the events of the war. Rather than portraying the Templars and the Assassins as polar opposite of each other the game explores the grey area that exists between them.
